These are data proven, yet incredibly EASY, ways to help bilingual children retain their home language and respond in it. If I could have every educator know about these so they could encourage the parents of emerging bilinguals to use them at home - this would truly help promote heritage languages and work toward preventing "first language loss/language attrition."
